SoUThWEST WaTer and CLimate Change Working Group
The Working Group is a consortium of nonprofits, academic institutions, and tribal environmental administrators that assists tribes, individuals and organizations in their management of water resources and their efforts to build resiliency against the adverse affects of climate change.
PUeblo Agricultural Vibrancy Endeavor (PAVE)
The Pueblo Agricultural Vibrancy Endeavor is a community-led effort to preserve and enhance Pueblo farming practices and food systems. PAVE includes agricultural learning programs, experimental farming, and seed banking.
Culturally Integrated Youth Camps
Flower Hill is partnering with the Pueblo of Sandia to conduct youth science camps, which include lessons on water monitoring techniques, the scientific method, and stream ecology, use an engaging outdoor-based curriculum and extensive community involvement to put students on a long-term path into STEM disciplines.
Chaco Canyon Resolution
Flower Hill organized an effort by the All Indian Pueblo Council of Governors to publish a response to the encroachment of oil and gas development into the area surrounding Chaco Canyon National Historic Park, an area of utmost cultural importance to the Pueblos.
