We are launching four new channels of USDA MPPTA social media to increase lines of communication and information with your MPPTA network, including USDA, TAP Providers, MOU’s, and meat and poultry producers.
You are all a valuable part of the USDA MPPTA program that ensures that participants in the USDA’s Meat and Poultry Supply Chain programs and initiatives have access to robust technical assistance (TA).
As we work to support the growth of domestic processing capacity and the ability of independent facilities to serve more customers in more markets, we invite you to be an active part of our growing MPPTA network.
Benefiting your organization directly, MPPTA’s new social media engagement team will not only be posting essential and interesting content but will also be interacting with your content to increase everyone’s engagement and reach across all channels.
Here’s how to take part in this growing MPPTA community:
FOLLOW our channels
COMMENT and SHARE our content
DM (Direct Message) us on Facebook when you want us to SHARE or FOLLOW YOU.

Content you will see on these channels:
1. Latest MPPTA USDA content - Webinars, Grant Announcements, MPPTA Opportunities and News
This content is similar to the existing newsletter content, yet now it’ll have its own social channels giving you another way to access and share it.
TIP: Please follow these new channels so they appear in your feeds. Content will use the following hashtags: #MPPTA #Meat #Poultry #USDAMeatandPoultry, #USDAFoodSupplyChain. You may consider turning on notifications to prioritize this information.
2. Branded MPPTA Content about MPPTA USDA programs
We have created branded MPPTA content specifically about MPPTA USDA programs. This content is designed to be easily shared and reposted by all members of the MPPTA network, including USDA, TAP Providers, MOUs, and meat and poultry producers. We have ensured that the content carries a consistent brand, making it easily recognizable.
TIP: We encourage your social media managers to download and reuse or repost this content to supplement your social media content. We ask that you tag MPPTA and use these hashtags: #MPPTA #Meat #Poultry #USDAMeatandPoultry, #USDAFoodSupplyChain
3. Real-world success stories from meat and poultry producers
By profiling producers’ success stories, big and small, through the MPPTA blog and social media, we seek to inspire other meat and poultry producers to gain access to MPPTA’s robust technical assistance.
TIP: We all know stories are powerful and can increase engagement on social media. We encourage you to share this content and add a comment to increase MPPTA’s reach. (commenting positively affects both yours and MPPTA’s algorithms more than simply liking)
4. Shared content from MPPTA network social accounts We seek to amplify the work of MMPTA network members, including USDA, TAP Providers, MOU’s, and meat and poultry producers. We will be actively engaging with your social media content. We may create new posts with content from your social media feeds. (We will inform you by tagging you.)
TIP: We will actively seek to follow your social media accounts. When we see your posts, we may like, comment and share them. Please assist us by sending us a DM (direct message) to make us aware of your happenings and posts. Also, we encourage you to DM us if we haven’t followed you yet.
